(Reuters) – Facebook, Amazon and Google will be the subject of a new US Congressional competition investigation, this time their impact on small businesses, reports Bloomberg Tuesday.

These big groups will be invited to answer the questions of the small business committee in the House of Representatives in late October or early November, says Bloomberg.

"The President (of this Nydia Commission) Velazquez thinks that small businesses deserve to be on an equal footing in terms of competition and she hopes that this hearing will give the committee an opportunity to look at how small businesses can 'come out against the dominance of large technology companies in areas ranging from e-commerce to Internet traffic, "said a spokeswoman for Nydia Velazquez cited by Bloomberg.

The US digital giants are already facing multiple investigations in the United States, from lawmakers such as the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission, for suspicions of impeding competition because of their cut.

Amazon, Facebook and Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, did not respond immediately to Reuters' requests for comment.
