Bad week for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Four days after a defeat conceded to Visp 4-2, it is against Thurgau that the men of Mikael KvarnstrOm lost 1-0 Saturday night in Swiss League ice hockey. In front of 1'192 spectators at Guttingersreuti, the Abeilles did not manage to find the solution against opportunistic Alemannic.
Deprived of four defenders (Iglesias, Kuhni, Wollgast and Barbero), all injured, the hockey players of the Neuchatel mountains took a long time to really return to this meeting. During the first twenty, the Chaux-de-Fonniers made several approximations to the revival and appeared to lack ideas during their rare offensive incursions.
It was finally when the first tea came back that the one and only goal of the party fell. On a bad defense clearance Chaux-de-Fonniere, Janik Loosli managed to deceive Christophe Bays in two stages at the 22nd.
A reaction too late
In the last third, the HCC tried everything to get back into the game. But the Bees found on their way an excellent Thurgovian doorman. Nicola Aeberhard, voted best player of his team, managed to keep his clean sheet despite the many attempts lime-of-fonnieres late in the game.
Following the defeat, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds moved back to sixth place in the Swiss League standings and is now eight points behind championship leader HC Ajoie.
HC La Chaux-de-Fonds will have to recover quickly as the bees return to Thurgau on Tuesday night at the Melezes ice rink. A great opportunity for the troupe of Mikael KvarnstOm to take revenge and restart in this Swiss league championship. / Gjo
