This is a new record for the open-source web browser. In a blog post, Brave announced it has exceeded the milestone of eight million users. The browser would also have 2.8 million active users each day.
A browser booming
According to the release, the engagement rate (the proportion of users who saw a link and clicked on it) was 14%, with 12% having visited the targeted site for more than 10 seconds while the industry average would be only 2%.This is a new consecration for Brave, who continues to conquer new followers. Launched in 2016 by former co-founder of Mozilla Firefox, Brendan Einch, Brave has recorded a 450% increase in the number of users between January 2018 and April 2019. In this period alone, his community has grown from million to 5.5 million people.
The press release also states that, to date, 385 advertising campaigns have already been carried out via Brave. The browser uses " Basic Attention Token "(BAT), whether to receive donations from its users or to reward them. Anyone can receive BAT by viewing an advertisement. Users can then get a small fee (around $ 70 a year according to Brendan Einch) or use them to reward content creators.
