When TV channels adapt to British lassitude for Brexit. The TV group Sky has launched, Wednesday, October 16, a new news channel that will cover all news … except the Brexit. This new channel was created following a recent survey showing that 30% of Britons did not inquire at all, 70% of them invoking their frustration around the endless saga of the exit of the United Kingdom. Union of the European Union, scheduled for 31 October.

The group's main news channel, Sky News, will continue to cover Brexit, which is under intense negotiations between Brussels and London in an attempt to reach a divorce agreement, just two weeks away from deadline.

"Sky News Brexit-Free is a bold approach, but having listened to public opinion in recent weeks and months, we know that our viewers will appreciate it", commented John Ryley, the boss of Sky News. "The new channel is simply giving people the chance to take a break from Brexit (…) and hear about other issues, far from Westminster and Brussels", he added.
