500,000 euros a month and big bonuses
Arrived free after leaving Nice, the French international had signed on July 1, 2016 for a monthly gross salary of 500,000 euros per month, details L'Equipe. An amount divided between a monthly fee of 425,000 euros, plus an ethics bonus of 75,000 euros, awarded according to certain objectives (respect of the club in the media, punctuality to training). To this salary was added a part of variable remuneration. Ben Arfa could claim an individual bonus of 2.12 million euros each semester if he played at least 60% of PSG matches. According to L'Equipe, he touched this decision only during his first semester at the club.
He claims the remaining 6.36 million euros in damages. The player also did not receive the annual collective bonus (416,000 euros maximum according to Marie-Helene Cohen-Guilleminet, the lawyer of the PSG) during his second season in the capital. He claims it too. On Wednesday, the player defended himself and accuses the PSG of "moral harassment" after having sidelined him in his second season.
"All the players were surprised that I did not play, including Neymar, because I was very good at training, and I was told, 'you'll give in, you'll go crazy', but I do not. I'm not afraid of adversity, I stayed because I was convinced that I was going to play. " He claims between 7 and 8 million euros to his former club.
