SIHH changes concept to "Watch and wonders Geneva"

The International Haute Horlogerie Show (SIHH) will be named from 2020 "Watches and wonders Geneva" and will organize for the general public activities in Geneva parallel to the Palexpo fair for professionals, held from 25 to 29 April 2020 .

For horological activities, which will be conducted in the city center of the city of Calvin, called "In the City", fans of watchmaking will discover the trades through a range of activities and free entertainment designed for all the ages and distributed in different places of the city: museums, schools, factories and shops will be there, indicate the organizers of the event in a statement released Wednesday.
For the 30th edition of the SIHH, which will become "watch and wonders Geneva" in 2020, the trade fair for professionals at Palexpo will also become more "open, dynamic and fun," the statement said. As in previous years, some thirty brands will participate in the event including those of the Richemont group but also independent.
The SIHH and Baselworld, the two key shows in the watch industry, announced last year that from 2020 they will synchronize their calendar until 2024 to prevent retailers and the press from abroad from to come twice to Switzerland in the space of more or less two months.
Previously the SIHH was held in January and Baselworld in late March.
