The four main issuers of meal vouchers in France are in the crosshairs of the Competition Authority. According to our information, it is preparing to impose a fine on historical players in this market estimated at 6 billion euros.
It accuses them of having set up a system allowing them to regularly exchange information on their commercial strategy. This allowed them, according to her, to lock the market and prevent the emergence of new competitors, both in the paper segment and in paperless (smart card and mobile application). Questioned, the Competition Authority refused to comment.
These four issuers have well-known brands of 4 million employees benefiting from restaurant vouchers: Ticket Restaurant (Edenred), Check Restaurant (Sodexo), Check Table (Natixis Intertitres) and Chèque Déjeuner (Up).
