Route 175 in the Reserve faunique des Laurentides was closed in the direction of Quebec City in the early evening of Friday, after a vehicle was found in the ditch and caught fire at kilometer 210.
The intervention of the firefighters required a complete closure of the road for a few minutes, then a partial reopening, which created an important traffic jam.
The driver involved in the accident was no longer there when help arrived. The police are currently looking for him.
