"It's the best way to honor him!"

Pia was proud to announce the news to her Facebook friends: once her racehorse died, she ate it in order to "honor her". On the social network, the 18-year-old girl has published photos of the living animal, next to another shot where pieces of horse meat are cooked on a plate. She explains that her family, originally from Trøndelag, Norway, kept the nets of "Drifting Speed" after her death.

"If I go eat horse meat, it will be mine" wrote Pia, who found the meat outstanding. She did not expect to fan the anger of other Internet users. Indeed, for them, the act of the rider is inadmissible, some of them going so far as to threaten her with death. "Many have written that I too deserve to be killed after eating my own horse" she explains to the media Dagbladet.

But for her, it is not so: "It's not better for the meat to be buried and eaten by worms. It was the best way to honor Drifting Speed.
