The US economy could enter a recession in 2020, especially because of the beatings of the trade war led by Donald Trump, say investors.

Although the current growth cycle of the US economy is the longest listed since 1854 and the New York Stock Exchange records records, some sign worry investors who are more likely to fear a US entry into recession as early as 2020, reports Le Revenu.
The US economy has impressive statistics, particularly due to the monetary policy of the Central Bank (Fed), recognizes the magazine, but the miracle could reach its limits amid, among other things, general slowdown in the global economy and blows from Donald Trump's trade war.

Despite the 2% year-on-year growth in the economy and the significant increase in household consumption, the downturn in the US manufacturing sector, signaled by the poor figures in industrial production, raises fears of contagion in the US. the economy as a whole.

Trump's political decisions questioned

"It would be the first time that a recession in the United States is caused directly by the political decisions made by the President," said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macro Economics, quoted by AFP.

It should be recalled that the OECD has revised downward its growth forecasts for the United States and now stands at 2.4% in 2019, a decrease of four points, and 2% in 2020 (-0, 3%).
Uncertainties have increased due to the impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump at 13 months of the presidential election.
