IoT investments average € 6.4 million per company this year, according to a study by Zebra Technologies.
Between 2018 and 2019, business expenses in IoT solutions increased by 39% to $ 6.4 million, according to the third edition of "Intelligent Enterprise Index", an annual study conducted by Zebra Technologies with 950 managers IT companies with more than 250 employees in nine countries. These amounts are expected to increase further: 86% of respondents expect to invest more in the next two years and half of them expect to invest 21 to 50% more.
"The investment needed for IoT solutions is part of the overall management of the company because the IoT is involved in IT as well as analytics and field teams," said Thierry Vasseur, president of Zebra Technologies in France. The rate of adoption of the IoT accelerated by six points compared to 2018. "Companies extend these projects, initially limited to a department, at the corporate level," he adds.
