TOWARDS THE ELECTRIC – Like all builders there Ford is proceeding to a progressive electrification of its range with the launch of hybrid and, soon, also electric models. At the beginning of next year the new one will arrive Ford Kuga plug-in hybrid (here to learn more) and, again in 2020, the debut of one is planned electric crossover inspired by the Mustang, credited with 600 km of autonomy.

WITH A SINGLE ACCOUNT – Most of the owners of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids recharge them at home: for this reason the American house will provide the new Ford Wallbox which will speed up the operation thanks to greater power than the home network. On the move, Ford customers can activate and pay for the services of top-up from a single account, making it easier to manage. All through the new version of the FordPass app, which integrates a series of functions that go under the name of Ford Charging Solutions, usable also on the move thanks to the modem integrated in the vehicle which is therefore always connected to the internet. This will make it easier to access the 125,000 public stations located in 21 European countries including those of the Ionity network, of which Ford is a founding member. This network includes over 40 high-power charging stations, from 150 to 350 kW, for super-fast recharges.

SMART FUNCTIONS – Even the monitoring system becomes easier, thanks to the FordPass app, because it is possible to manage and monitor the charge level of your vehicle. Furthermore, the FordPass Power My Trip feature will allow one travel planning more serene, as it will be able to analyze the state of charge of the vehicle and identify the nearest charging points along the route. FordPass will also indicate different points of interest, such as restaurants or shopping centers, to make waiting more enjoyable. The navigation functionality provided by the FordPass Connect will enable Ford customers across Europe to send planned routes from their mobile phones or tablets directly to their vehicles. The driving routes, created from the comfort of home, will be downloaded to the vehicle's navigator, optimizing the time available.
