These are the numbers of Carnival Panorama, the cruise ship presented today by Fincantieri, at the Marghera plant, in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli. The new unit was built by the group led by Giuseppe Bono for the American Carnival Cruise Line brand of the cruise ship giant Carnival Corporation.

Three sister ships for Carnival Corporation
The "Carnival Panorama" ship is the third twin of the "Vista" series after "Carnival Vista", delivered in Monfalcone in April 2016 and of "Carnival Horizon" also built in Marghera, where it took to the sea in 2018. These are very significant units (over 133 thousand tons, as mentioned) and at the forefront in terms of technological equipment and environmental performance. Tassello, the latter, on which the cruise sector as a whole is investing heavily in the attempt to reduce the emissions of these great sea giants.

Cutting-edge technologies and maximum comfort
The three ships are in fact characterized by a particularly innovative layout with interior fittings which, in line with the American group's approach, are based on the search for maximum comfort for the customer with a wide range of restaurants, theaters, shops and centers Welfare. Then, like the twin girls, the "Carnival Panorama" also presents a restricted, exclusive Havana-themed area, with booths, outdoor bars and "infinity pools", which can be accessed during the day , only passengers staying in that part of the ship.

From the big US invested 32 billion in Italy to date
The shipyard of Marghera has built 29 cruise ships since 1990 with important consequences for the Veneto region. The Region has in fact benefited from approximately 1.3 billion of the 9.4 billion purchases of goods and services made by Fincantieri in Italy in the three-year period 2016-2018: 14% of the total with about 400 companies, mainly SMEs, involved in the realization of new units. The group has today delivered 96 cruise ships, of which 69 for the various brands of the American Carnival group which, through its relationship with Fincantieri, has invested 32 billion euros in Italy so far. Some problems, however, for the US group comes from the Finnish shipyard Meyer of Turku where the new flagship Costa Smeralda is under construction for the Costa Crociere group brand. The latter, writes the ANSA, would have received notice of a further delay in the construction after the one made known on September 16th. The new delay would be determined, according to the press agency, by the complexity of the project.
