It is time to turn around in the Forbes ranking of the billionaires, the richest people in the world.
During the week, the news of the overtaking of Bill Gates against Jeff Bezos in the men's real-time ranking with the greatest personal wealth in the world, promptly overturned the following day (we wrote here), echoed a lot.
However, these are not the only changes at the top of the ranking calculated in real time by Forbes compared to the annual ranking published last March.
Also among the Italian members of the list stand out new weight compared to the 2019 classification, crystallized precisely in March.
Giovanni Ferrero, leader of the confectionery group of the same name, with assets estimated by Forbes of 21.9 billion dollars, is no longer at the top of the list of the richest Italians. Ferrero can console himself with the 46th position worldwide, but now he has Leonardo Del Vecchio, owner of the Luxottica group, who jumped, with assets of 24.3 billion even at the 38th position in the world rankings. Something on which Ferrero, on the other hand, cannot count but has always avoided the temptation of listing on the stock market.
This is not the only news in our country. Among the very first positions of the richest Giorgio Armani halls, he reached the third step of the podium (previously fourth) with assets of 11.2 billion. The founder of Mediolanum, Ennio Doris, instead enters the top ten. This is also due above all to the stock market, given that in the last 15 days the Banca Mediolanum stock has achieved a progression of around 10 percentage points.
