On the day of the child's funeral, the teacher, a support teacher, closed her grief after returning to Salerno, in the arms of her family, and from the office of her lawyer Michele Sarno explained that she had done so to "collect the forces necessary to overcome this terrible moment ".

"I'm desperate and every time I enter that school I'll think of him". These are the words of one of the two teachers in the first grade of the Pirelli school in Milan, where on 6 October a 6-year-old boy fell into the stairwell and died five days later. Words that the woman, who has not returned to class since that day, has entrusted her lawyer Michele Sarno. "The teacher has already been heard, but as a person informed about the facts – the lawyer said – to date we have not received notice of his registration in the register of suspects".

«I send my hug and the most heartfelt condolences to the family, for the loss of the child» said the teacher, who is a support teacher and who, in that dramatic morning, was in the classroom with her colleague while the child went to the bathroom accompanied by the caretaker. "When he heard the cries and bustle outside the classroom, my assistant ran out – his lawyer Michele Sarno said – a tragedy to see such a scene when the child was smiling in class two minutes before." From that day on, the teacher never returned to the classroom: "she returned to school the next day, but was unable to support him emotionally, and took a few days' leave to overcome the incident".
