The unions CGT, FO and CFE-CGC called the employees of Conforama to strike to denounce the conditions "Shameful" of the employment safeguard plan presented by management on Tuesday at the seventh negotiating meeting.
According to the unions, the management of Conforama offers a fixed price of 1,000 euros to employees with less than ten years of seniority, increased to 2,000 euros between ten and twenty years, and 2,500 euros beyond.

Mouloud Hammour of FO lamented that the PES presented does not involve "No measure of age that would allow early retirement for senior employees".
"This is a starting point for negotiation and not a bargaining end", defends the direction of the group, stating that the discussions will last until the end of November.
The CGT, the first union at Conforama, calls "All establishments to go on strike" to denounce conditions "Scandalous or even insulting".
In July, Conforama announced a restructuring plan for the closure of 32 Conforama stores and 10 Maison Depôt stores, as well as 1,900 job cuts.
