A World War II aircraft belonging to the Collings Foundation, a private educational foundation, crashed on Wednesday (October 2nd) at Bradley International Airport in the United States. The airport confirmed on its Twitter account that a fire had occurred following the accident, which caused the closure of the structure.

According to the images posted on the social networks, a black smoke rises since the place of the catastrophe.
We can confirm that there was an accident involving Collings Foundation World War II aircraft this morning at Bradley Airport. We have an active fire and rescue operation underway. The airport is closed. We will get more updates as information becomes available.

According to the Hartford Courant newspaper, the aircraft had difficulties landing and out of control, and hit the hangar. With the result of victims to deplore, but their number is not yet established.
Firefighters are present at the scene to provide first aid as well as fight the fire, according to local media. In addition, at least three people were transported to hospital, one by helicopter and two others by ambulance, reports NBC Connecticut.
