Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury once again calls on the United States and the European Union to negotiate a solution in the endless case of subsidies to the European aircraft manufacturer, saying that nobody has an interest in a trade war in the area.

"EU and US administrations could freeze all tariffs and sit around a table to negotiate a mutually acceptable solution, Pleads Mr. Faury in a tribune to appear Thursday in The echoes and broadcast online Wednesday night.

"A negotiated solution appears to be the only way to resolve this dispute, to establish a fair framework and, ideally, to secure a broader international agreement on government assistance to the aerospace sector"Says the CEO of Airbus.

According to him, "no one would win a trade war, neither the global aviation industry nor the American and European economies".

This forum is published two days after the World Trade Organization (WTO) gave its final authorization to Washington to impose customs sanctions against the European Union. These sanctions could come into effect on Friday, in retaliation for subsidies granted to the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
