Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (Toyota Valenciennes) has just announced the launch of a recruitment campaign of 500 operators that will increase its workforce to 4,500 people in 2020.
This campaign will enable the Valenciennes site to start production of vehicles on the basis of the new TNGA architecture for which investments of 300 million euros are currently committed.
This project announced in January 2018 is concretized by a progressive modernization of the various workshops with work that will continue over the coming months.
In accordance with the company's recruitment policy, the 500 new production agents will be recruited without any requirement for a diploma or professional experience and will be offered for the most part an 18-month fixed-term contract. Each new recruit will undergo an adapted training of 3 to 4 weeks at the training center located on the site of Toyota and on line of production.
At the same time, the company is continuing hiring on permanent contracts: from 2,938 in January 2018 to 3,150 today and with a target of 3,600 by the end of 2020.
