The dollar began trading on Wednesday morning at Banco Nación at 53 pesos for the purchase and 57 pesos for the sale, with no changes in relation to the last closing.
In the previous round, the US currency closed at an average of 58.48 pesos, with an advance of 7 cents compared to the previous close.
The Central Bank managed to contain the dollar with direct sales and a rate above 85%.
For his part, the Minister of Finance, Hernán Lacunza, said that "today, (for this Wednesday) are all the dollars that are needed" for savers.
"There is no reason to get the dollars, but if people want to do it, they can do it without problem," said the official, in reports he gave in the last hours to different media. (NA)
