WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Thursday that the United States could issue 100-year bonds if the bet to issue 50-year notes is successful.
"If there is adequate demand, we will issue 50-year bonds," Mnuchin said in an interview with DealBook broadcast live online. If they succeed, the official said, the United States will "analyze" the 100-year bonds.
