General Motors de México said the new Chevrolet Onix will be built at its San Luis Potosí plant. The commercialization of the vehicle will begin in the first quarter of 2020, and from there it will be exported to several countries in Latin America.

After its premiere for Latin America from Brazil, it was confirmed that the Chevrolet Onix will also be produced at one of GM's plants in Mexico. This is not a surprise, because that decision was foreseen in the GEM platform model schedule, joining China and Brazil as the only nations that produce it to supply their regions.
In the case of the Mexican Chevrolet Onix, it will be sold not only in the domestic market but in the countries of Central America and the Caribbean, as well as the other member countries of the Pacific Alliance (Colombia, Chile and Peru) and Ecuador.
Production will take place at the GM plant in San Luis Potosí, and its commercialization is expected to begin during the first quarter of 2020. Our country could arrive a few weeks apart, compared to the Mexican launch.
