<p>After a first teaser shown at the end of August, Hyundai unveils all the details of the Hyundai 45 EV Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019, an electric prototype that opens the door to the new and future family of electrified models of the firm and that inspires its forms in the first model of the Asian manufacturer, the Hyundai Pony produced between 1975 and 1990.

Hyundai Pony Coupe Concept presented in 1974 inherits the monocoque style, in addition to an aerodynamic design inspired by the aircraft of the 20s of last century, according to the brand.

Also, the designation 45 refers to the 45 degree angles that make up both the rear and the front of the Hyundai 45 EV Concept, with a diamond-shaped silhouette that will be present in the language of future Hyundai electric models.

Regarding its 100% electric mechanics, Hyundai did not advance details beyond the disposition of its thrusters and the battery, which maximizes the space for occupants in the cabin. The batteries are located on the flat bottom, in what Hyundai calls 'skateboard floor' (skateboard floor in English).

With flat and clean and sharp surfaces, the Hyundai 45 EV Concept represents the evolution of the 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language. In this electric prototype, the front grill stands out with a kinetic cube lamp design (coined by the brand), with a futuristic optics scheme integrated in it.

Also, this prototype integrates on the sides, behind the front wheels a set of active LEDs, which show the level of charge of the car battery. In addition, the exterior side mirrors become cameras, technology that was seen in the electric Audi e-tron, which have a rotating module to ensure maximum visibility.

With an eye on autonomous driving, this 45 EV Concept also boasts future technologies, such as a Hidden Camera Monitoring System (CMS), which will allow piloted driving functions to be integrated.

For its part, the cabin is distinguished by a minimalist cabin with two independent front seats, which can rotate to face the rear as well as to facilitate access to the vehicle, and a single rear bench block.

Wood, fabric and leather make up the interior of the Hyundai 45 EV Concept, to which is added a screen located on the dashboard that combines both the instrument cluster and multimedia functions.

Hyundai Motor Group, which combines both Hyundai and Kia and has just joined the IONITY ultracharger network, plans to launch up to 44 alternative mechanics cars by 2025
