The non-custodial exchange house KyberSwap activated on September 13 the option to buy ethers with fiat currencies. The platform will accept payments with credit and debit cards, a service sponsored by the Coindirect.com exchange platform.

Now KyberSwap users they can buy digital currencies directly with US dollars, euros or other fiat currencies. This new implementation modifies its previous trading system, which only accepted exchanges between ethers and ERC-20 tokens.

The service is integrated into KyberSwap options after the platform partnered with Coindirect.com, a cryptocurrency exchange house backed by MakerDAO. Users can use the main credit cards on the market, such as Visa or Mastercard. Also, the minimum purchase will be 15 euros and transfers will be processed instantly.

KyberSwap notes that the purchase of ethers with fiat currencies will reduce transaction fees, processing all payment for the fiat currency gateway. However, exchanges of tokens and ethers in the exchange house will continue within the Ethereum blockchain, guarded by KyberSwap smart contracts.

Although trade between crypto-fiat has declined in 2019, according to Cryptocompare studies, the purchase of crypto assets with national currencies is still one of the most widespread activities. In this sense, it seems that the Kyberswap representatives have decided to expand their exchange offers and reach a larger interested public.
