On the eve, Navent Group Ltd., through its subsidiaries Bumeran.com Perú S.A.C. and E-Holding S.A.C., signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the assets linked to the digital classified portals Urbania and Aptitus de Empresa Editora El Comercio S.A. (El Comercio Group).

This transaction must be completed in the coming weeks, once certain precedent conditions are met, and will not include those classified in the print media of Grupo El Comercio.

Navent owns the AdondeVivir and Bumeran brands in Peru and is the leading online property and employment classified company in Latin America, with a presence in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Panama and Venezuela.

The company's goal is to help people achieve two of life's most important desires: finding a job and a home, they noted.

This operation, they said, is a product of the interest that the Urbania and Aptitus portals have aroused due to the sustained growth they have achieved in recent years in the digital sector.

Portals

In the case of Urbania, the El Comercio Group also managed to consolidate it in Peru as the leader in its category, also standing out for the organization of ExpoUrbania Real Estate Fairs.

"What has been achieved in these years with classified portals is a sample of the ability of Grupo El Comercio to create brands and new digital businesses, driven through the multiplatforms of its media," said the general manager of the Business Unit Digital, Mariano Nejamkis.

He added that "the Group will continue to focus on the development of new products and services in the digital field."

IN SHORT

Operation. Nicolás Tejerina, CEO of Navent Group Ltd. said that the purchase operation of Urbania and Aptitus represents one of the most important in the history of the company and reflects "the sustained growth and leadership of Navent in the region."

The executive added that, "born as a technology company, Navent permanently seeks to improve its service to users and advertisers and through this acquisition we continue betting on the development of these categories in Peru."
