Yesterday, the launch of Kincentric, a company in the human resources sector that emerged from the sale of Aon's talent practice to the Spencer Stuart firm, was announced in Puerto Rico.
The sale, which took place last July, included the areas of culture and strategy, studies and data on commitment, development and leadership coaching, succession planning and organizational effectiveness of Aon, a risk management and human resources firm that carries out the study of Best Employers of Puerto Rico every year on the island.
The buyer, Spencer Stuart, is a global firm based in Chicago, specializing in executive search and leadership advice. The resulting company, Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart Company, has almost 500 employees in 26 offices worldwide. In the case of Puerto Rico, the staff working at Aon's talent practice is now part of a team of 16 consultants featured on the island and in five other countries – Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Argentina -, María said yesterday from Pilar Manzanera, regional leader of Kincentric's talent for Latin America practice.
“The Kincentric business model is more oriented not necessarily in having a number of people in X market, but in making available to the different countries in which a network of expert collaborators in different fields operates”explained Eddaliz Berrios, director of the company in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
Manzanera said that “with the purchase (of Aon's talent practice) the portfolio is strengthened much more”. He added that in the new company, which will be focused on consulting and measurement services, “we are going to bring much stronger tools so that the human resources areas can detect if they are being mature enough for the needs they have within the companies. In leadership, different programs and tools for measuring the potential of leaders are opened ”.
As for the Best Employers of Puerto Rico initiative, which every year recognizes the organizations that obtained the best results in the study of the same name, They announced that they are in the process of becoming the Best Employers program that Aon already had globally. Berrios indicated that this year's ceremony will be awarded both distinctions, while for the 2020 edition all the awards will be Best Employers.
He explained that the difference lies in the methodology of the study. The results of Best Employers fall to 70% of the employee engagement survey and 30% of the questionnaire to human resources personnel of the organizations, which was then validated by Aon. For the Best Employers, the opinion of the employees is evaluated in four aspects: commitment, agility, focus on talent and committed leadership.
Another difference is that for Best Employers a requirement to participate is that the organization has 25 or more employees, while for Best Employers they must have at least 50.
Looking ahead, Kincentric aims to achieve a 10% growth in its turnover for all of Latin America in 2020.
