Facebook Dating sets out to conquer the United States. The dating site of the social network, already launched in 19 countries, made its debut, Thursday, September 5, in the US market. With the promise of lasting unification in a few clicks of singles, this free service could overshadow paying competition such as Meetic or Tinder.

Facebook, at the heart of many controversies related to the leak of personal data of its users, says that this new feature has benefited from advanced security. "Finding a romantic partner is very personal, which is why we designed Dating so that it is safe"insists the company.

Facebook Dating is directly integrated into the Facebook interface and accessible from a heart-shaped button. The service was inaugurated in Colombia in September 2018 and expanded to 18 other countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Surinam, Thailand , Uruguay and Vietnam). In Europe, it will take its first steps by the beginning of 2020.
