The neighbors of a suburb of Ottawa witnessed a fun event, when they ran into several drunken raccoons in their own yards.
As a local resident told CBC, he found a semi-conscious raccoon in his backyard. The woman stressed that the poor little animal had trouble standing and moving.
"You could tell something was wrong, sure," he said.
Another resident revealed that she found a sleeping raccoon under her garden table.
As explained by the biologist Michael Runts of the University of Carleton, mammals turned out to be drunk by eat apples and fermented berries. The expert stressed that large amounts of fruits fall from the trees in early fall, and "those kids get drunk eating fermented fruits."
