Denis Pineda had a bitter return to the national team after being expelled 13 minutes after entering the game of El Salvador and Saint Lucia, by group B of the League B of Nations of CONCACAF.

Pineda returned to play with the national team after not being taken into account for the 2019 Gold Cup by Mexican coach Carlos de los Cobos.

The player entered the 63rd minute from left corner Juan Carlos Portillo and after a touch with a player from the representative of the Caribbean was sent off by the Honduran referee Moncada Godoy.

El Salvador currently wins 3-0 with goals from Narciso Orella, Darwin Cerén and Nelson Bonilla. The team is the leader of group B of the League B of Nations of CONCACAF.

On the subject, the Aztec coach said that Pineda was carried away by the fever and did not think that the most affected would be the team. De los Cobos was annoyed at the attitude of the player of Santa Clara de Portugal.

"Denis Pineda thought about him and not the team. He didn't think about the group and thought about taking a rematch of a kick that made no sense."
