(Kansas City) The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed the signing of star backing LeSean McCoy two days after being released by the Buffalo Bills.
The Chiefs had reached an agreement with Carlos Hyde during the off-season in hopes of betting on a veteran in a backcourt who lacks experience. But he was unproductive in pre-season games and he was traded to Houston. General Manager Brett Veach acted quickly by offering a $ 4 million contract to McCoy for the season.
The Eagles have drafted McCoy and played in Philadelphia in his first four seasons, which means he will find his former Eagles coach, currently Chiefs Andy Reid.
He is also leaving a team rebuilding in Buffalo for the triple champions of the Western section of the American Association, aspiring Super Bowl.
