Baby Bronco: the Ford SUV that will be presented in 2020 and would reach the region

In July of this year, the unpublished Ford SUV, known so far as Baby Bronco, was photographed on off-road terrain performing its first tests. On the other hand, until the news of the future arrival of the Territory to Argentina (see note), the undisclosed sport utility of the oval appeared as one of the main candidates to position itself between Ecosport and Kuga.

After the images revealed so far, where you could see the Baby Bronco under extensive camouflages, in recent days some photos of the body of this vehicle on the assembly line (the terminal was not specified) came out, with some Notable square lines and design with less aerodynamics than other well-known Ford SUVs.

Although the data obtained about the vehicle are scarce, it is known that the future model will not have the same name known until now, although it could continue with the Bronco designation in the final product, since the oval signature intends to make a new family of vehicles with this determination, similar to the F Series line (the unpublished model has nothing to do with this derivation in body format).

With few revealed features, it is known that the new SUV will be mounted on the C2 modular platform, the same as the fourth generation Focus and the unprecedented Kuga, with the difference that the aesthetics of the undisclosed vehicle will have adventurous features and pillars quite marked, details that will give you greater personality compared to the companions that are mounted on the same base.

The engine could be composed of a 1.5-turbo 1.5-cylinder block of 134 hp, a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder and 253 hp, or a 2.5 hybrid, which combined the combustion impeller with the electric, can reach a total power of 212 hp. According to different media in the world, the model could be an alternative to the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, although we will have to wait until 2020, to know what the target audience and competitors are.

The Baby Bronco returned to take relevance after last July Ford revealed a scheme of future vehicles that will be presented for each market between this year and next, and after the news of the Territory, there is still a “small robust utility with capabilities off-road ”that will be destined for South America.
