Nicknamed "Terminator", the boxer ate fries in Ixelles when the thief tried to make his pockets. It was because he was waiting for someone that Youssef Boughanem was vigilant enough to notice it.
"Otherwise, I would not have noticed someone slipping his hand in my pocket," he told the Last hour.
Two slaps and a skull fracture
Calmly, the champion once arrested the thief who still retried his chance. "So I put two slaps on him," says "Terminator". The pickpocket then immediately put his hands away, a gesture that once again made the boxer react.
"I thought he was going to pull out a blade and I kicked him in the legs and he fell to the ground," he said.
The thief escaped with a broken skull. Youssef Boughanem has been charged with intentional assault with incapacity.
