He leaves his daughter alone in the car to go for a drink

A father left his four-year-old daughter, alone, in a car in downtown Sherbrooke to have a drink in a bar.

Last week, around 2:15, a passerby alerted the authorities because a girl sat frightened in a vehicle.

The Sherbrooke Police Service mentions that she had urinated in her pajamas, that she was thirsty and hungry.

At the time of the intervention, the father left the bar. He confirmed that he was his daughter and he did not resist his arrest.

The girl was taken to the police station where her mother came to pick her up. The father was released on a promise to appear.

Police reported to Youth Protection Branch (DYP).
