The F91 Dudelange has qualified for the group stage of the Europa League. This is the second time in a row that this has happened to him. It is also only the second time in its history and that of the Luxembourg championship.

Last season, Frank Defays was the head coach of Racing Union Luxembourg for a few months before returning to the role of T2 in Mambourg. He was therefore at the forefront of Dudelange's wild adventure in the Europa League: "Dudelange inspires Luxembourgish football, this club has awakened a passion and opened the field of possibilities."

But for our interlocutor, the clubs of the Luxembourgish elite still have some way to go to follow this example: "The physics is of a fairly good level, but the structure and the tactical aspect leave something to be desired." He also made a statement when he co-hosted in the Grand Duchy: "There is a big difference between the leading teams and the others."

Comparison

And when he has to compare with Belgium, he declares that the first division of our neighbors is comparable to the level of the D1 Amateurs. But "some could still play their game well in D1B" he says. Meanwhile, Dudelange will still dream a whole country for a few weeks. Especially since his sporting chances will be bigger than last season! Instead of meeting AC Milan, Olympiakos and Real Betis, they will face Sevilla FC, Apoel Nicosia and Qarabag.
