Laura Jiménez has a degree in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University in the United States, where she has been living for 25 years. He has made a career in the Democratic Party.
“We assume this designation as a great challenge,” said Laura Jiménez. "We express our gratitude to Mr. Joe Biden who we will accompany in a process that will lead him to the presidency of the United States, in which the Latino and Dominican community will play a transcendental role."
In Hillary Clinton's campaign she worked on the conquest of the Latino vote in the United States in the State of Florida, as well as that of Andrew Gillum, who ran for Florida's governor. She also worked in the office of the State Senator, José Javier Rodríguez in Miami, where she served as Chief of Staff.
The Joe Biden initiative seeks to attract Latino voters for elections to be held next year.
The former vice president added six new senior staff members, all of whom are minorities and women.
The announcement of the appointment of Laura Jiménez as National Director of Voting for Latino, was made by the Biden campaign team in a meeting with the press who highlighted the purpose of diversifying their campaign and attracting voters of that minority in the United States.
Laura Jiménez is the daughter of the journalist and television and radio producer Cristhian Jiménez and the lawyer Vilma Pimentel.
Jiménez joined the Pennsylvania-based Joe Biden campaign office several weeks ago.
