11-9. Cruz connects a home run against the Royals, for whom Dozier hits two

Dominican designated hitter Nelson Cruz hit a two-run homer for the Minnesota Twins leaders, who beat the Kansas City Royals 11-9, for whom pre-runner Hunter Dozier hit two home runs.

The Twins improved their season mark to 67-42 and remain leaders in the Central Division of the American League.

The battery was represented by Cruz (27), who connected back in full in the first episode, taking a man on the road, on the work of opener Glenn Sparkman.

The victory was credited with the Trevor May relay (4-3) in a third episode.

For the Royals, Dozier (18) sent the ball to the street twice, starting the punishment against the Royals in the fourth episode, with no teammates ahead.

In the fifth inning he closed with a flourish when he took the ball out of the field again, also alone. His two vuelacercas connected them on the Venezuelan opener Martín Pérez.
