The American Korda prevailed 6-1 6-1 with the Australian O’Connell.In the first qualifying round Roberto Marcora won 6-4 6-3 against American Brymer. British Peniston beat American Smith 7-6 6-4. The Australian Polmans overtook the American Nanda 6-2 6-2. The Japanese Daniel got the better 7-5 7-5 over the American Mc Donald. The Japanese Nakashima defeated the British Broady 6-2 6-3.
In Monterrey, Mexico, in the first round Gianmarco Moroni won 6-4 6-7 6-2 against the other Italian Federico Gaio. Lorenzo Giustino defeated the American Ekubans 3-6 6-4 6-4. Among the women in Lyon in France in the second round Camila Giorgi won 4-6 7-6 6-2 against French Cornet. Belgian Van Uyrvank overtook Bulgarian Tomova 6-4 7-6.
