When he took office about six weeks ago and at the same time signing a collective bargaining agreement with the workers’ committee, new Cellcom CEO Avi Gabay reviewed the organizational structure and decided on changes in the company. On Thursday, Cellcom said that Gabay decided to split the company’s VP of technology . Following this, Gabay presents two appointments in Ron Shvili’s resignation recently: Victor Malka, former director of the Bezeq division, will be appointed VP of Cellcom Information Systems; Viniv Curiat, Cellcom Director, who has been pop-up as VP of Engineering. Both appointments are aimed at upgrading Cellcom technologically and preparing the company for the fifth generation of cellular challenges that are approaching.
Coriat’s appointment is seen as the significant and exceptional appointment and beyond expressing his confidence in it, the appointment is intended to convey an internal message into the organization that the key roles are open to the appropriate employees. Curiat, an engineer in his education, will be required to find creative and innovative solutions to the company’s new structure.
As mentioned above, Viktor Malka served with Bezeq and retired, and Gabay and Lu have a close acquaintance with the period when Gabay was Bezeq’s CEO. Cellcom also announced the appointment of Attara Litback-Shaham as temporary deputy to VP of marketing, television and content in Rafi’s place. Litvak-Shaham will also serve as VP of Excellence and Innovation Leader
