Ronaldinho retired in 2015 after playing for 5 years in the Fluminese Sports Club.

Paraguay police searched a hotel in the capital city of Asuncion, where Ronaldinh and his brother stayed on Wednesday.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil Television, Paraguay’s Interior Minister Euclides Acevedo said that Ronaldinho and his brother denied the charges and the investigation against them continues.

“I respect Ronaldinho’s success in his career, but everyone is equal before the law,” said Acevedo.

Ronaldinho’s Brazilian and Spanish passports were reported confiscated in July of last year on the grounds that they did not pay their taxes.

Ronaldinho, 39, was one of the stars of Brazil, which won the World Cup in 2002.

Ronaldinho, who also wore the Barcelona shirt, was named “The World’s Best Footballer” in 2004 and 2005.

Ronaldinho had gone to Paraguay to promote a book and participate in a campaign aimed at helping children with few opportunities.

It is believed that the Brazilian former star footballer made more than 100 million euros during his career.

Ronaldinho recently announced that he received 173,000 euros to promote an Instagram post.
