In Qatar, however, they have not yet surrendered not to see MotoGP racing. Juan Baquero is the manager of the Losail circuit and, on Radio Marca’s microphones, has revealed that he is available to recover the GP.
“It is an open topic, at the moment there is no date or idea that the MotoGP race can be played, but we are available. Dorna knows this and will do everything she can to do it“ her words.
For the moment it is only a hypothesis, but if we think about it a bit and, trying to turn the problem into an opportunity, there would be the possibility of organizing something unique in Qatar.
After the news of the postponement of the SBK round in Losail, the crazy idea would be to find a date to give MotoGP and Superbike races in the same weekend, bringing together two worlds that have hitherto covered parallel roads.
The fact that all the championships are under the Dorna umbrella does not make this dream impossible and without a doubt, from a media point of view, it would be an unprecedented event for motorcycling. Rossi, Marquez, Dovizioso and Rea, Bautista, Redding, all in the same paddock for 3 days to give a show, no fan of motorcycles and speed could ask for more.
However, it would not be an easy task to find a date that suits both, unless you want to take advantage of the month of July, a break for both championships.
For now it is only a dream, but sometimes the fantasy can overcome reality.
