Moto: Lorenzo announces, I will race the Catalan GP – Moto

Jorge Lorenzo announced on Instagram that in early June he will race the MotoGp Grand Prix of Catalonia thanks to a wild card. The five-time world champion, who recently retired from racing, is currently a test driver for Yamaha, the brand with which he won his three MotoGp titles in 2010, 2012 and 2015. Lorenzo will start in the sixth round of the world championship, in scheduled for June 7 on the Montmelò circuit, near Barcelona. The system of “wild cards” in force in MotoGP allows manufacturers registered in the championship to bring an additional bike on the track three times a year. Lorenzo will then race alongside the two official Yamaha riders: Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales.
