Likud for Election Commission: There are errors in typing the results

The Election Commission has time until this coming Monday (March 9) to submit the final distribution to the seats. Recall, in the second elections, in the days between the initial publication of the results through the summary table and the submission of final numbers to the President of the State 7 days later, there was one move, and Torah Judaism decreased from eight seats to 7 seats, while the Likud increased from 31 to 32.

Today, even before the initial table is published, Likud officials say that they have claims about registering the election results. The Likud statement states: “Despite repeated requests that were not answered by the Central Election Commission, the Likud is currently addressing the party’s chairman to the Central Election Committee to review all ballot protocols and sheets as well as to verify errors in registering election results and typing in all polling stations. The Likud expects that these documents will not be duly delivered, and that the review procedures and errors in typing the results will not be exhausted. The Election Commission will refrain from publishing the results. ”

Likud’s request was submitted today to Election Commission Chairman Justice Neil Handel. Likud’s claim is that they should be allowed to review the materials even before the results are published.

Blue and White Chairman MK Benny Gantz stung in response to Likud claims, saying: “I thank my name and all the citizens of Israel for the election committee, led by the committee chairman, Justice Neil Handel, and the committee’s director, Mrs. Orly Ades, for their hard work And the tradition during the 23rd Knesset elections. They and the entire Election Commission staff worked diligently to find solutions to every challenge, such as counting envelopes of civilians in solitary confinement for fear of contracting the corona virus. In a democratic state, the results of the elections and the decision of the electorate must be respected – and not least the work of the state committee that believes in them. ”
