“He couldn’t put the crowns on me, and when I went to the computer – I found out he didn’t have a license,” says M, one of the victims of the phishing suspect. “I am in a very, very difficult situation. He also hurt me mentally, I am broken,” adds M. “I’m ashamed of my kids, don’t know if I’ll ever get back to myself,” she says painfully.
The suspect in the act is a 59-year-old man from Rehovot, who was investigated yesterday (Wednesday) on suspicion of impersonating a dentist and providing medical treatment to many clients. The suspect who has been operating the clinic without a license for 30 years has been a dentist for years. Throughout the three decades of service to clients who came to the clinic, the suspect impersonated and treated a qualified dentist.
Police officers who arrived at the clinic after a complaint were filed found various finds, anesthetics and medical equipment in a comprehensive search conducted at the scene. “The investigation is ongoing and we believe there are other victims who were injured by the suspect,” said Inspector Mazi Bunny, a Rehovot police investigating officer. The suspect was released for a 5-day house arrest.
