Dragan Bender is on hold. Ex Maccabi Tel Aviv’s 10-day contract at Golden State has ended, but the Warriors have decided whether to extend its contract for another 10 days. So according to an ESPN report.

“I really like Dragan,” Steve Kerr said at Golden State training last night. “I think he has a lot of potential, but we will have to wait to see what happens. I would love to give him a 10-day contract if that is possible, but the team will decide on that later.”

Kerr added: “Not for nothing, he was the fourth pick in the draft. Over the past ten days, he showed that if he gave him some confidence, a little chance to play, he could do a lot of good things. He helped us win two games in a season that we didn’t win much.

Golden State’s opportunity is perhaps the 22-year-old Bender’s last in the NBA, after leaving Phoenix who selected him Wednesday in the 2016 draft and also released from Milwaukee in the Media Open this season. In six Golden State uniforms, he averaged 7.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 23 minutes.
