There Lombardy continues to be most affected by Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, 431 more cases have been recorded for a total of 2,251 patients under treatment, of which 1169 hospitalized, 244 in intensive care, 364 in home isolation. The healed and discharged are 376. The dead are 98, 25 more in a single day. In the province of Lodi alone there are 658 people infected. As for the possibility of extending the red zone in the Bergamo area, where there are 537 positives, “we are evaluating, it makes sense but the government decides”, says the Regional Welfare Councilor, Giulia Gallera. In the Metropolitan City of Milan there are 197 patients, 86 of whom are in the Lombard capital. In the hinterland, between Abbiatense, Matentino and Alto Milanese, the number of confirmed positives rises to 10, including a doctor from Rescaldina and a doctor from Magenta.
L’Emilia Romagna is still in second place with 698 positives, follows the Veneto with 407 and the Piedmont with 108. Nelle Marche there are 124 infected, in Tuscany 61 and in Liguria 48. There are 44 patients in Lazio and the capital has its first victim: it is an 87-year-old woman, “who died with Covid-19 and not because of it”, explains the San Giovanni Addolorata hospital in Rome, as “cardiopathic and with severe endocarditis as a valve prosthesis wearer followed by a respiratory problem”. It goes better in Umbria, 12 cases, while in Sicily 6 are hospitalized between Palermo and Catania.
