Azimut: consensus estimates indicate profit boom, Mediobanca sniffs maxi-dividend

Azimut raises the veil on the 2019 accounts today. The results are expected in the early afternoon with a conference call with analysts at 15:00. The consensus expectations of the analysts are of a sharp rise in profits to 371 million euros, revenues to 1.03 billion and dividend of 1.2 euros per share. Equita SIM aligns with the consensus on the 2019 profit front seen at 370 million, more than tripled compared to 2018. The performance fees are expected by the Milanese sim at 202 million (+ 257%), of which 90 million in the fourth quarter of 2019 alone.

Mediobanca Securities expects total revenues of 312.1 million for Azimut in the fourth quarter of 2019, up 71% on the previous year. Mediobanca analysts also estimate that total operating costs will increase by 7% on an annual basis following a 12% increase in distribution costs; operating profit is seen at 158.7 million euros, while net profit at 132.8 million. For the entire 2019 the profit is seen of 379.3 million with dividend that could surprise at 1.50 euro per share (consensus is 1.20 euro).
