In the United States, the preparation for the presidential elections is always very long: for the ruling party – in this case the Republican one – it is generally easy to reconfirm your candidate for the presidency, in the first round; the same cannot be said of the opposition party – the Democratic one – which must gather together, gather ideas and bring a program and communication strategy such as to overcome everything achieved by the government. A far from simple matter if we compare Trump’s successes with the disorder inside the democratic primaries.

Therefore, the American Democratic Party, after the epochal defeat of 2016 – when all the polls saw Hillary Clinton clearly ahead of the challenger Donald Trump – and after the non-victory of the 2018 mid-term elections – when she hoped for the blue wave to stop the dreaded rival – he should have prepared everything for the decisive challenge, namely that of the presidential elections, the most important, of November of this year, from which he risks leaving more traumatized than Hillary Clinton in the last round.

The candidates, in fact, presented themselves on a progressive axis of radicalism, but, in the end, remain Bernie Sanders, defined by some as the socialist of America, and Joe Biden, who is by far the most moderate candidate, and perhaps also too much, sleeping. If the challenge seemed to be decidedly towards the Senator from Vermont, after the super Tuesday, on the contrary, it seems very difficult that he could challenge the outgoing President.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, for his part, is in fact not afraid: the economic data seem to give him all the reasons, as the election promises would have all been more than kept. Unemployment at 3.5%, jobs reached 273,000 in February – well over 150,000 promises – so much so that Chris Rupkey, chief financial officer of the California bank, said it could be the latest perfect data for a long time (https: //www.cnbc.com/2020/03/06/us-jobs-report-february-2020.html). Still, the January trade deficit dropped by 6.7% to $ 45.3 billion: the numbers, in short, leave no room for interpretation.

Therefore, net of all the disputes raised in recent years for immigration policies and support for issues dear to Christians, Trump has proved economically capable of satisfying the demands of deep America, which had given him unexpected success. On the other hand, however, there is a Democratic Party that tightens its internal divisions: in any case, between the two litigants, we know who enjoys
