Microsoft has released a new commercial forXbox Game Pass starring the streamer Shroud, currently working on Mixer. Apart from the presence of the streaming celebrity, what is particularly interesting is how advertising not only aims to sell the subscription service, but also to illustrate the Microsoft’s new philosophy related to the Xbox world, the daughter of Phil Spencer.

In the video we can see Shroud playing in flight on a hang glider in Halo. After a few seconds, however, it is revealed that in reality the streamer was recorded on a set, wearing a special suit and that, therefore, the first image was completely fake. In this way Microsoft seems to want to communicate its desire for the umpteenth time transparency total as regards the Xbox offer, showing the reality behind the fiction and giving a strong sense of concreteness to the brand.

Xbox Game Pass is an increasingly rich and complete subscription service. Just recently the brand new Xbox One version of Yakuza Kiwami was added to the catalog and the arrival of Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in early May.
