It is one of the measures that should enter the transport guidelines that will be attached to the next dpcm for the restart. Among other measures, there should also be an obligation on all means of collective transport (from trains to ships, from planes to buses and metro) for social distancing and the mask, which will therefore not be an alternative.There may be extensions of the opening hours of offices and public services to avoid overcrowding on vehicles during peak hours, increasingly electronic and less paper tickets, quota access to stations and airports. These are the measures under study with which Phase Two of transport takes shape, which in addition to changing the habits of millions of workers, will also be the first real test of the restart.

Not only will the decree expected in the coming hours take care of transport. From 4 May, the date scheduled for the first departure, you can go to visit friends and relatives at home even in the absence of an emergency. Crowded parties or dinners will always be prohibited, but after two months of closure or lockdown, the Italians will return live to have a chat and drink an aperitif together and not through the screen of a mobile phone. This represents one of the new rules of phase 2 that was at the center of a meeting at Palazzo Chigi until late at night on Friday evening.
Allow movements outside of your municipality and within the individual Regions from 4 May, however, leaving the limits on intra-regional mobility in force. This is the hypothesis, as learned from various sources, on the government table. Nothing decided, it is explained, but this would be the prevailing orientation at the moment.
From Palazzo Chigi we learn that the plan for phase 2
“provides for a restart always with the utmost caution, in the knowledge that the epidemiological curve must always be kept under control and not be found unprepared in case of a possible ascent. The plan provides for a relaxation of the restrictive measures, but not for a change». “It will be essential, at this stage, to strengthen the workplace safety protocol already approved last March and complete these requirements also with reference to the transport and logistics activities».
Conte is expected to announce tomorrow, or at the latest Monday, the strategy of the coming weeks and the new dpcm which will gradually ease the blockade of the country.
