Breaking the Silence. After being released from prison in the capital of Paraguay, Asuncion, where he was staying with his brother and released for house arrest in one of the city’s luxury hotels, Ronaldinho Spoke for the first time Monday since being arrested as part of an interview he provided to ABC television.
“I never imagined something like this could happen to me,” said the past star of the Brazil and Barcelona national team, who was arrested after being caught with his brother Roberto when they had fake passports. “It was a very hard hit for me. I came to Paraguay to launch a virtual casino and a book and everything we did was under my brother’s management.”
Ronaldinho, describing the unpleasant surprise he was expecting with the moment of arrest: “We were surprised to learn that our documents were illegal. From that moment, we did everything we could to cooperate with the court and to clarify all things. My faith always stays with me and I always pray and believe that things will work out. In my entire life, I have strived to reach the highest level of professionalism and bring joy to people with the help of football. ”
To conclude, Ronaldinho shared a little of what he had been through during the prison period: “They got me there very nicely and were kind to me. I played football, handed out autographs and pictures, it’s a part of my life everywhere I come and I had no reason to stop with it, especially with people who experience difficult moments, just like those who have been through me. ”
